The company in charge of water supply and sanitation in the municipality of Blanes now has accurate, real-time data on the weather conditions in the area, especially rain intensity and accumulated rain.
Airport operators can now monitor the intensity and accumulated rain remotely and in real time through the Weathercloud online platform.
The new equipment will be part of the Automatic Weather Station Network (XEMA) of the Meteocat, which currently has over 225 observation points throughout Catalonia.
The acquisition of the instruments is part of the Project for Risk Management and Early Warning, driven by the United Nations World Food Programme.
