Description
Maximum accuracy for winter maintenance tasks
The road condition sensor is installed in the road pavement and uses maximum accuracy technology to measure the road surface condition, the coefficient of friction, the temperature, the freezing point, the salt concentration and the water or ice film height. The sensor discriminates between the following road conditions: dry, moist, wet, extremely wet and slippery.
The sensor is specially designed to help improve the planning and quality control of all kind of winter maintenance tasks on roads, mountain passes, ski resorts, airports, etc. in order to ensure maximum safety.
Digital communication
It can be connected to any conventional datalogger to perform the data storage and its subsequent downloading and monitoring on a computer. It has a RS-485 serial port with UMB protocol and includes a 10 meters long cable.
