WeatherLinkIP™ includes the datalogger for the storage and download of weather data and the powerful monitoring software developed by Davis Instruments, which can be downloaded from WeatherLink.com. It allows storing all data recorded by the station in a permanent database, monitoring it in real time on a computer, producing graphs and detailed reports, posting it to the Internet and exporting it to most spreadsheets.
WeatherLinkIP™ is definitely the fastest and easiest way to post the weather data to the Internet. It is not even necessary to have a computer, simply connect the datalogger to the console or Weather Envoy™ and to the router and data will be sent directly to the WeatherLink.com server. It allows to view it in real time on the Internet and to share it with people around the world.
It is highly recommended for all users of Davis Instruments weather stations, as it allows to take full advantage of the data collected and to obtain additional weather information that is not displayed on the console, such as the heating and cooling degree days or details about the solar energy received when having the additional solar radiation sensor.
Manual or automatic data download
The datalogger connects to the weather station console or Weather Envoy™ and stores data even when not connected to a computer. The archive interval can be configured to 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes (up to 213 days of data depending on the selected interval). Data can be downloaded either manually or by configuring the software to do it automatically every day at selected hours.
Data sharing with the world
Posting your weather data to the Internet has never been easier. WeatherLinkIP™ does all the work, sending it directly to the WeatherLink.com server, so you do not need to have a computer, programming skills or to spend money on web hosting. The weather data can be monitored in real time from any computer with Internet access. It is updated automatically every minute and can later be downloaded to a computer for processing via the included software. Data posted on WeatherLink.com can be shared with family, friends, weather enthusiasts or customers, as well as on the most popular weather networks, including the Davis Instruments Weather World ‘Round, the Citizen Weather Observer Program of the National Weather Service of the United States or the GLOBE educational program, among others.
Entering the username and password you can access a personal space showing the summary of all variables recorded by the station. It is also possible to configure the sending of daily reports and email alerts for certain weather conditions, such as strong winds, freezing temperatures, heavy rains with possible flooding, etc.
