Description
Maximum accuracy and resistance
The rain gauge with AeroCone™ accurately measures the amount of rainfall by means of a self-emptying tipping spoon. It features a reed switch that closes each time the weight of the accumulated water causes the spoon to tilt, thus producing a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter.
The instrument has an aerodynamic cone that increases accuracy in high wind conditions, and it is specially designed to meet the guidelines established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Includes a 12 meters long cable, an improved debris screen that locks into place to keep it from falling off or flying out and a base with mast mounting support.
