Description
Maximum accuracy
The rain gauge accurately measures the amount of rainfall by means of a self-emptying weighing mechanism. The high sensitivity of the mechanism allows to obtain measurements with a much higher resolution to that provided by any tipping bucket rain gauge. It can be connected to any conventional datalogger to perform the data storage and its subsequent downloading and monitoring on a computer. It is specially designed to meet the guidelines established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Rugged and weatherproof design
The instrument features a rugged design and is entirely made of anodized aluminium to ensure maximum durability. The included removable filter prevents leaves, debris and other elements from clogging the funnel and blocking the passage of water.
Optional heater
It is activated automatically at temperatures around 2ºC, preventing the accumulation of ice and snow in the funnel and allowing precise measurements at low temperatures or during and after a snowfall.
Mounting options
The rain gauge can be mounted at different heights depending on the needs, either on a hard surface or nailed to the ground using the optional fixing bases.
