Description
Ideal for practicing with the sextant
The artificial horizon allows the sextant to be used when it is not possible to clearly observe the natural sea horizon and also for backyard practice, such as in a nautical school. Simply fill the container with water and use the sextant to read the angle formed by the sun or the moon and its reflected image. Half of the reading is the real angle of the star over the real horizon. The instrument is weatherproof.
