Description
The most affordable solution
It is a compact and practical rain gauge that measures the amount of rainfall by means of a self-emptying tipping spoon. It features a reed switch that opens each time the weight of the accumulated water causes the spoon to tilt, thus producing a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter. It is made of plastic resistant to UV radiation and frost.
Patented self-emptying system
A magnet holds the spoon in equilibrium position, so that the emptying is produced by a fast movement of the tip, which returns immediately to the starting position to pick up a new portion of water.
