Darrera has carried out the design, development and installation of the new interactive weather exhibition of CosmoCaixa Barcelona, a major museum in Spain on science, environment, nature and space.
The exhibition, which is already open to the public, brings visitors into the world of meteorology through a set of interactive experiments that help to understand in a fun and engaging way how the different weather variables are measured, including wind, temperature, humidity, rain and solar and UV radiation.
Each experiment can be activated by the visitors and is connected to an analog panel meter that reflects the changes in real time as they occur. In addition, the experiments are accompanied by touch screen monitors that show the weather data from the station located on the rooftop of the museum, while providing visual and textual explanations about each variable. All the weather data from the rooftop station is stored in a Weathercloud meteOS server.
