Real-time data provided by the stations enables WWTP personnel to optimize wastewater treatment processes and take preventive measures to safeguard the safety of personnel and facilities against extreme weather events.
The new Vantage Pro2 Plus weather stations, installed by Darrera in Barcelona and Valencia, are equipped with precision sensors for measuring wind, temperature, humidity, precipitation, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, and UV radiation. The units are powered by solar energy for fully autonomous operation and send real-time data to the Weathercloud online platform, facilitating remote monitoring and management by WWTP personnel.
The incorporation of these stations provides WWTPs with accurate and real-time information, allowing them to adjust and optimize wastewater treatment processes in response to changing weather conditions such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall. This adaptability not only benefits the quality of treatment but also promotes a more efficient use of resources and reduces environmental impact. Furthermore, the data enables the adoption of preventive measures to safeguard the safety of both personnel and facilities against extreme weather events.
