The new wind stations allow remote and real-time monitoring of the wind conditions in different areas of each plant in order to evaluate the wind impact on the solar panel structures.
Each station is equipped with a cup anemometer and a wind vane installed at a height of 10 meters on a tilting meteorological tower, a solar power system for fully autonomous operation and a datalogger with 4G communication for remote and real-time transmission of the wind data to the cloud.
The Weathercloud online platform provides the operators of each photovoltaic power plant with all the necessary tools to monitor and manage the data, including daily, monthly and annual reports, custom plots and configurable alerts for wind intensity, in addition to exporting the data for use in other applications.
