The new buoy equipped with wind, air temperature and humidity, and water temperature sensors provides real-time data that allows accurate calculation of evaporation in El Atazar water reservoir, which belongs to the Canal de Isabel II supply network and whose capacity of 425.3 hm³ makes it the largest in the Community of Madrid.
Darrera has fully developed the buoy, including the design of the entire system and the construction of the mounting structure for the high-accuracy sensors, the solar power system for fully autonomous operation and the datalogger with 4G communication. The structure is made of marine-grade stainless steel to offer the maximum durability. The recorded data is sent in real time to an online platform for remote monitoring and management from the control center. The platform provides several tools for processing and exporting the data to different formats.
Darrera data buoys can be custom-made to meet the requirements of all types of monitoring projects in the open sea, water reservoirs and lakes, and stand out for their high flexibility, allowing them to equip multiple meteorological and water quality sensors.
