The weather information provided by the stations is monitored from the control center of Road Conservation and is also publicly accessible through the online platform Weathercloud.
The works carried out by Darrera involved the implementation of a 3G communication system in the 3 weather stations of the N-230, located at the height of the municipalities of Pont de Suert, Aneto and Bossòst, as well as the installation of high-performance solar panels for a fully autonomous operation. The weather network has also been expanded with the installation of a new weather station equipped with a visibility sensor and located in the north side of the Vielha tunnel.
All the weather information provided by the 4 stations is remotely monitored 24/7 from the control center of Road Conservation. The real-time weather data allows surveillance personnel to issue warnings in the event of adverse weather conditions and take appropriate preventive measures to ensure the safety of drivers. The weather information is also publicly accessible through the online platform Weathercloud, developed by Darrera.
