Description
Ideal for maritime studies
The buoy is designed to monitor the sea conditions and water quality in maritime studies. It is equipped with a high capacity datalogger that serves as the hub of the whole system, supplying the sensors and capturing the data they provide for subsequent storage, transmission, processing and monitoring through an online application. The datalogger also allows carrying out statistical calculations with the data registered by the sensors.
Included measurements
- Wave height, period and direction.
- Atmospheric pressure.
- Water temperature.
- Compass.
- GPS.
Additional measurements
- Tide.
- Current profiles at different depths.
- Water quality.
Extremely compact design
The buoy features an extremely compact design consisting of a high resistance float where the solar power system, the communication system antenna and a signaling beacon light are installed. The weatherproof enclosure where control electronics are housed features a double seal to ensure maximum protection of the electronics from water, moisture and other external agents. The buoy is equipped, besides, with a high capacity lithium battery for a total autonomy.
Satellite connectivity
The buoy features an Iridium satellite communication system that allows sending data to the Internet in real-time. It is also available with 4G.
