Darrera has successfully completed the design and manufacture of 90 high accuracy temperature probes to control the efficiency of the solar panels installed in a large photovoltaic power plant in California.
The sensing element is a 1/3 DIN class PT100 resistance temperature detector (RTD) with a high accuracy of 0.1ºC. Each probe includes 40 meters of 4-wire twisted pair cable with protective mesh coating and outer polyester sheath.
The probes will allow measuring the surface temperature of the solar panels to ensure they do not suffer overheating and maintain their maximum efficiency all the time.
The temperature probes can be custom manufactured to suit specific client requirements.
