Description
Accurate and reliable
The solar radiation sensor measures the global solar radiation, which is the sum at the point of measurement of the direct, diffuse and reflected components.
It consists of a high accuracy silicon photodiode located inside a plastic casing that provides a path for air currents to cool the inside by convection, thus minimizing the heating of the sensor. The cutting ring provides an excellent cosine response. Each sensor is calibrated against a secondary standard under natural light.
The mounting screws with springs and the spirit level allow for a quick installation of the sensor. Includes a 0.6 meters long cable. The additional mounting support is required for installation on a Vantage Pro2™ ISS.
